Current issue of EAP-Magazine: A Golf course becomes an entertainment center.

The Jurassic themed Adventure Golf course from City Golf Europe paves the way for an additional theme attraction, the gold panning village, “Jurassic Mining”

In the Dutch city of Gouda, roughly an hour´s drive South of Amsterdam, only a few years ago people met to play golf at Golfbaan IJsselweide with its 9-hole golf course, a driving range for practicing longer shots and a clubhouse. In an attempt to appeal to a broader target audience and to develop the golf course over the long term into a family & business Entertainment centre, in 2015 the owner Michel de Meijer initiated the Construction of an adventure golf course on an adjacent site. City Golf Europe installed an 18-hole adventure course with a "Jurassic" theme underscored by a Cave, waterfalls and Life-sized dinosaur figures. In its first season the "Jurassic Golf Adventure Park Gouda" stand-alone attraction already welcomed over 25,000 visitors, a number that has continued to increase every year since then.
